Privacy Policy

Innovators Soft ("we", "our", or "us") provides JaWa Companion as a self-hosted Android application. This Privacy Policy clarifies what information is processed when you use the software.

1. Self-Hosted Data Isolation

JaWa Companion runs locally on your physical Android device. All WhatsApp communications, Signal Protocol encryption sessions, message history, media files, contact details, and database records remain strictly stored on your device's internal private storage (SQLite/Room DB).

We do not operate any cloud proxy, relay server, or intermediary service that intercepts, snoops, inspects, or copies your WhatsApp messages.

2. License Validation Data

To verify subscription status and enforce single-installation terms, JaWa Companion connects to our licensing backend at https://jawa.innovatorssoft.org/api/v1/license/. The only information transmitted during this process is:

• Username: The account identifier you provide during initial setup.
• Hardware Installation Token: A randomly generated pseudonymous UUID stored in private app preferences to bind the license to your device.

This data is stored securely in our protected cPanel MySQL database. It is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties.

3. Update Service Telemetry

When the application checks for updates (/api/v1/app/update or /api/v1/app/latest), it transmits only the caller's currently installed version code and package identifier (com.innovatorssoft.jawa). No device telemetry, location data, or personal information is transmitted or logged.

4. Local Area Network (LAN) Security

When you enable LAN access in JaWa Companion, the internal HTTP server (port 8080) and WebSocket server (port 8081) accept connections from other computers on your Wi-Fi network. You are solely responsible for ensuring your local network is secured with strong WPA3/WPA2 encryption to prevent unauthorized local access.

5. Third-Party Services & Trademarks

JaWa Companion interacts directly with WhatsApp servers via the official Multi-Device protocol. Your use of WhatsApp is subject to WhatsApp's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. JaWa Companion is an independent software tool and is not endorsed by or affiliated with WhatsApp Inc. or Meta Platforms, Inc.
